Luna has been fascinated all things outside of the Earth since she was a young girl.  Naturally inquisitive and intelligent, she did well in school with subjects in which she was interested, but was not an honor student as she didn't focus on topics she didn't care about.

After high school she worked at various places around Dodge County, Nebraska, including stints as a waitress, a nursery school assistant, an aide for Nebraska  Health and Hospice Services.  She has suffered minor bouts of depression ever since her grandfather died, whom she considered her closest friend.
