Isabella studied Biomedical Engineering at Universidad Anáhuac Mayab.  Her interest focused on creating safe, affordable and easily accessible family health clinics throughout Mexico.  Through this, she pulled together a cross-curricular Senior Project project team to design a prototype clinic, through which she met Esteban, her future husband.

She worked for AbbVie Mexico for three years before leaving as the neonatal division in which she worked was sold.  She used the opportunity to join Esteban's firm to help the business grow.

After the Mexican CyberPeso Crisis caused the business to downsize, she became trained as a mid-wife and began working with expectant mothers to help with both family and business expenses.
